Throughout the 19th century, heroes are forged. Slavery is rampant. Vampire lords pull the strings of US governance, in the ancient tradition of their secret civilization. In the darkest shadows of American society, those who resist the Vampiric Empire are members of a militant rebellion called the Order of Darkness. Made up of those cast aside by the powers that be, the Agents of the Order fight a shadow war across the North American continent.

Mysterious strangers claiming to be from the far-flung future begin making contact with Order Agents General Harriet Tubman and John Brown. Given strange new technology, the two leaders must assemble a team: a racially diverse trio of queer gunslingers who were formerly enslaved, a sex worker and sharpshooter who's sailed the Seven Seas, a Wenatchi Native monster huntress with hundreds of kills under her belt, a pair of Muslim women with magical swords, an interracial and interfaith gay couple who are the West's greatest super spies, and more! Each of these recruits has their own skills, powerful artifacts, and history of defying the Empire.

Now it's a race. Both Human and Vampire agents are let loose on the tiny town of Rock Hen, Nevada. The battle will be fierce. The prize is the future. History is at stake. Which future will you fight for?
